we have an HDR-34 receiver and a slimline SWM 3 dish. We go RVing and take the receiver with us. We have a separate, identical dish to that we have at the house that we use when RVing. OK, problem is i'm not getting a satellite signal to the receiver even though i've got good signal strength numbers on the TV display for the 101, 103, and 99 satellites. I don't understand why the signal strengths look adequate (we've gotten reception with similar #'s) on the TV display but no satellite signal is seen by the receiver. In case i wasn't on the right satellite i tried panning the dish back and forth at least 10 degrees in each direction with no other signal strengths detected. We're currently in South Fork, Co. and the #'s for the dish setup per DirecTV zip code lookup are 162 deg. Azimuth, 46 degrees elev. and 7.5 deg tilt. My dish is positioned to where these #'s are and the tripod is plumb so it seems to me i am on the right satellite/s, but no signal/s to the receiver. Any suggestions on what i could try?? I've been messing with this for a couple of days now & i've run out of ideas. Also, i've looked at other dishes here in the RV park and my dish seems to be pointing in generally the same direction & elevation as theirs so i'm thinking i'm on the right satellite/s but am off just a little from where i need to be. Just not sure where to go from here. thanx, Mike
