Can anyone tell me how you would hook up a 5th HDTV receiver for a Triple LNB with the built in MultiSwitch? Do you have to add another dish or will a 5x8 multiswitch work and how does it function?

Thanks!

Technology sure has changed from 12' Prodelin dishes and Houston Tracker receivers...

You'd need a 4x8 or 5x8 multiswitch (4x8 if your running separate line(s) for off-air reception, 5x8 if your using the same line(s) and diplexers on the receiver end for off-air reception). 4x8 or 5x8 multiswitches will require a constant power source. These multiswitches work very well. They can be gotten fairly reasonably on eBay (much cheaper than your local retailer). if you are getting your additional HD receiver through D* then they will probably provide the multiswitch at no additional charge (if it is an HSP installer doing your upgrade, contractor installers may charge you extra for the multiswitch).
To put it in you'll need to run four lines from the dish to a grounding block then to the multiswitch and finally out to the receivers from there.
