I was thinking of getting an 18in dish for dish audio and a very few channels. What is the best dish to get. Tripple lnb's look good (direct tv phase III) but can i use them with my fortecstar? I think they have a bult in switch. If the switch will not work can i bypass it and use my own?

A Phase III DirecTV dish defaults to just the 101w LNB when not used with a DirecTV receiver, so there is no real benefit to it over a regular 18" dish with FTA satellite, and the internal switch will not work with with FTA : (

However, a Phase II dish, is perfect, since it has no switching.. 1-2-or-3 lnbs, and with creative ducttaping, you can add a 4th, and perhaps 5th too!

Thats what I have in the background of my avatar, a 4-LNB Phase 2 dish for music from E* and BEV

Don't even waste your time with the Phase IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII Dish!

Me too, especially when it gets stuck back down on the roll and you have to try to find where the end is and use your fingernail to peel it back up.

Took me a minute or two, but I get it :haha

Scotch tape another MN. Invention :)

The Cuda is green, I will post some pics next time I pull it out for a wash : )

It works, had it running recently. Still needs some work to get it road worthy. (gas tank...)
