I need some help with my FTA Traxis 2500.
Is there anyone out there that knows how to edit the names of sats that are already loaded on this receiver?

(Delete and add new names of satellites on the preloaded list?)

I do have sats that I will never be able to use because I live in the western part of the USA.
(sats from the east part of the USA and Middle East and Europe)

Thanks for all the help guys!!
I am desperate and need some help.
THANK YOU :flag::confused:

Thanks for the link.
I do have the most current software loaded.
I need instructions on how to edit the preloaded names of sats on this receiver.

Any more ideas?
Thanks:confused:

the 2500 doesn't list a channel editor on DMSI's site
maybe try the interface tool for the 3500 and see if it will find the STB and the channel list
then you could try to edit it. I don't know if it will work cause i don't have a 2500

Thank you George,
I will try to see if it works.
Do you know who is the manufacturer of the Traxis receivers?
Thanks
Dimitrios:)

You might try Channel Master, an STB editor. I don't know if your STB is compatable.

There should also be a menu item to edit the name of the satellite. Then, when you go to scan the satellite, change the longitude number to make USALS move the motor to the right longitude if you are using a motorized setup.

Do you know who is the manufacturer of the Traxis receivers?
DMS International is the importer.
For all I know, the Traxis name may be theirs (that's just a guess).
Looking on their software page, it appears the 1500 and 2500 share firmware, but read the page to double check!
Sorry for the duplication, if you've already been there.

And as a last resort, you could always call/email DMSI and ask for help.

This an update of my search for the answer to "Can names of sats be edited on a Traxis 2500?"
No, it cannot be done.
For any poor souls out there like me that are still using this receiver!!!
Thanks for all your replies to my question.
The answer came from DMS engineer.

On another forum I found out that the 2500 cannot be edited, so I have to buy a 3500 to be able to not be confused every time I switch between stas.

By the way were are you located?
I live in "Sin City" the last 5 years where I try to teach:) everyday middle school kids.

I have 2 Traxis 3500 receivers i have one on 6 foot dish that is looking at NSS 806 for ert world

The other Traxis 3500 is on a 7.6 dish with H-H mount that i do sky scanning love the blind search and the PAL-NTSC Conversion.

You are a very lucky guy my friend.
I will be looking in getting a Traxis 3500 myself too.
I am tired to do everything manually.
Any suggestions on a good and cheap retailer?
I am working on a teacher's salary here.:(
