I live in Port Clinton OH and have Dish service. I will be traveling to Alaska and camping and taking my Dish with me. Do I need to sign up for the Alaska package in order to use my Dish in Alaska? I have dishpointer software and a VuQube antenna.

Assuming you are able to get signal with your VuQube antenna, Alaska Channels come of a spotbeam and/or a certain channel range (4000-5000). So it is not certain you will get all the channels without changing your package but it is possible that you will get some. Even changing the package wouldn't guarantee that you'll get all your channels. Alaska installs use a larger dish. As long as you can get signal with your VuQube you should be able to get some channels.

Keep losing signal
