I have a TiVo wireless adapter and was wondering if I could hook it up to the 622's USB port and transfer shows to the computer. If not is there another device, besides one of those Portable Dish things, to get shows on the computer? Thanks.

Nope not that I know of.

But check out the Yahoogroup DISHRIP if you interested in doing this as its something we dont discuss here due to DMCA laws. :)

I understand the pocket dish loophole has been plugged.
At least that's what they're bitching about on an mpeg editor forum where I hang out.

I don't know if you can transfer previous 622 recordings to the PC or not (I have a 211), but you can record directly to the PC in real time. It's not cheap, but it works very well. MPEG 2 files can easily be manipulated and transferred to DVD using almost any editing program like Video ReDo or NEROvision Express. H.264 (MPEG 4) is not so easy to edit, but they can be played back with a variety of SW players.

Capturing from a 622 works the same as a 211; just run an s-video or rca cable from the back of the receiver to a PC capture card and as long as you have some sort of capture software, it will work just fine. HD programs, while downconverted, look especially nice.
