OK I dont know if anyone has tried this.

Tomorrow there are 2 college football games on that I want to watch/record. Problem is they are on at the same time and both are in HD. (so I can't use one of my SD receivers)
One the Micro will record. But here is the question

If I put my Manhattan back into service tomorrow (its for sale by the way ;) ) and record the other game on that....is it possible when the game is done to copy it from that hard drive (hooked to the Manhattan) to my computer than over to the hard drive the Micro is attached to and then be able to play it via the Micro?

I've never tried it but I think it should work. I don't want to try it unless I know it can be done (as that hard drive I will use I use as a backup for my computer....I can wipe that and after its done copy those files back to that hard drive) ;)

Anybody try that and if so did it work?

IIRC I can watch files recorded from the S10 on the micro, I moved the hard drive over to the micro and it played stuff I had recorded a few months ago, so I don't see why it would not work.

Ok just tested this Tony. I hooked both drives to the computer and moved a recording from the old drive that I had recorded in June. I then hooked the new one up to the microHD. It played the recording from the S10 just fine so it should work with the Manhattan.

In the event it doesn't work out, you can still watch on your computer.
If that isn't desirable, could you not still hook the Manhattan to your big screen?

iPhone 4

yeah I can hook it to the "big screen"....it was more two fold
-the hard drive I'll be using I normally have my files from the computer backed up on
-I hope to sell the Manhattan soon so I wanted to make sure the Micro could play it

I've found the microHD works quite well as a media player. It played some 3D Olympic programming that had been recorded from Sky in the UK. My other equipment had issues playing the files, but not the micro.

I have to go directly from hard drive to hard drive because I only have 48GB on the computer left and the file is 55GB ;)

will work on that later
