Am told some old timers used trailer jacks to move their BUDs. But the trailer jacks I've seen have a lot of linear play, how'd they get around this? Would think the dish would flop around in the wind. Or were trailer jacks made better back in the day?

The one we used in the early 80's were VERY tight. When all this first came about an actuator and controller box were a 500.00 EXTRA, and when you were already paying 3000.00 for the basic system, 500 extra was a LOT.

I spent a lot of time as a 12-13-14 year old running out to the dish and cranking on it when the parents wanted a different satellite...those were the days!
