Thanks for that link, Don. While flat land with no major profile doesn't offer much 3D visual, it is great that when Curiosity come upon something like I shot in my Valley of Fire Desert landscapes, we will be ready with 3D.

As more and more images are appearing on the net in 3D stereography, people should get prepared to see these. One of the best places to get the red / cyan glasses is from Amazon. Get a pair as they are really cheap and just keep them by your computer. If you wear glasses, I suggest a pair of clip on glasses. While the cardboard ones are really cheap, they also tend to distort the image.

While Anaglyph is a great way to present 3D stereography to the general public, many today have 3D monitors. I hope NASA and others make efforts to put up these images in SBS or Row Interleaved format that can be displayed on nearly all 3D monitors. SBS/Half is great for active shutter glasses monitors ( expensive glasses) and either Row Interleaved or SBS Half is good for Passive type 3D monitors ( polar low cost glasses). All the You Tube 3D videos can be displayed directly on 3D monitors in full 3D quality.
