DTV TiVo Dealer said:As Ilya says, ecost is not an authorized Toshiba dealer and I doubt they will see any HD DVD players from the first allocations. Also, after you add up all of the extra ecost charges and no free DVDs your final delivered cost is about the same as VE.
Brewer, everyone gets two free HD DVDs from my company and a $25 gift certificate good towards the purchase of your third DVD. If you ordered before we were giving two and Toshiba's gift certificate your order will be upgraded to include all of the promotions.

Motion activated remote?
Yes, just a remote control. It makes it easier to control various components in big home theater installations. What does RS232 do for me? Serial cable control of the unit?
No. Both units are upgradable via Ethernet and perhaps via USB.Does that make the more expensive unit more firmware upgradeable?
RCA was going to make a $499 HD DVD player HDV5000. Which, as I understand will be essentially Toshiba's HD-A1 in a different case.colofan said:Are there any other brands coming out in the near future?
