and now im stuck in a one year agreement with them to keep dish network. I imagine the dvr would have been a heck of a lot easier to use if i wasnt allready used to the ease of a TIVO.

So, here are my questions.

Why can i only put 8 things in my priority list?

How do i go in and edit my programs (after they're allready there) to set it at 'only new episodes'..for instance..when the summer comes and its reruns, i tend to fix them.

How can i put something on my list in tv 1 and get it to actually record it on tv 2?

I know these are probably really silly questions, but im sooo lost lol. Tivo is so much easier to use!!

why do you need priority list ? I have not used and cant work out why i would.

couple of paths to get to edit the timer.
Menu, daily schedule, timers - select timer you want to change, select edit, and change.

It says i can only put 8 things on the list. I have shows on there that i want 'taped' througout the week, so why wouldnt you need them? lol..im confused...

Thanks korsjs!

What model PVR are you dealing with? I just hit the time on the guide and tell it weekly, and it picks it up. (I'm on 721's).

I have like 25 or so timers.

Are you using the NBR stuff on a 522?

I've got about 18 timers a week. Me thinks you are confused. Read your manual.

Uh oh, picture of a woman and guys go nuts, look out...

You can have a ton of timers, sometimes without problems, so i'm not sure what a priority list has to do with any of it. Coming from tivo, you're going to have to adjust to not having total control of things, especially regarding tv1 and tv2.

Sounds to me like a 522...

Don't let the dish software figure it out, just figure out what you're going to miss yourself. Leave it to the Dish box and you'll come home to a hdd full of charlie chat's...

Eight things in your priority list????
Every timer you create has a priority that you can adjust. There is not limit (that I've found) to the number of timers you can create.

Do you mean Favorites list? If so, these are just lists of channels you can use while browsing the guide. They have nothing to do with recording priorities.

What is most cost effective 4 me????
