Tivo & Sports Pack - Extra Innings Issue

OK... was wondering if anyone else was having this issue.

1. I subscribe to the Sports Pack & MLB EI... for years the games would be on both the regional sports network channel in the 600's and also on the MLB EI channels in the 700s. This season I've noticed a lot of the time the guide will have the games listed on the MLB EI channels but all I get when you tune to the EI channel is a DirecTV logo with the background music.

2. At times, you can't receive the game on either the 600s or the 700s. For example tonight, a Nats-Braves game was airing on Fox Sports South and MASN-2 HD. I could only watch the Braves coverage on the Sports South channel in its regular channel in the 600s, not on the EI channel. MASN-2 would not come on at all on its channel or the EI channel.

3. After speaking with tech support - they even said their on-air guide was showing incorrect listings for the games on the EI channels. Often mine on the regional spots in the 600s will say "Upcoming...Postgame" for example... even though the game is in progress. This makes searching for the game, or a past setup to record the game useless, because the guide data is incorrect.

Tech support doesn't seem to have a clue and the issue is simply "escalated". Often a reboot will fix the issue for the evening. Then it comes right back the next.

Any ideas or suggestions?
 
Tivo vs hd dvr combo should be irrelevant in this issue. Is your dish a sl3 or sl5. And if 5. How are your 119 signals?.

My only thought is double red button reset. The repeat sat setup to totally re download the guide. If that doesn't fix it then it either an issue with 990 for guide data or an issue in the stream. If it's an issue in the stream then it's an engineering issue.

5. Nothing at all on the 119. A hard reset takes care of it for the evening. But in 24 hours, same issue.
 
So you have a sl5 but 119 is showing all 0s? If this is the case then you have an issue with guide data. And that will cause the problem your describing. You need your lnb changed to a 3. Check your los on 119.. any trees around? Or the lnb could have gone bad.

Run a info/system test on the hd dvr and post back with any error codes and details. But I think you need a tech out there. Unless you want to try to change the lnb yourself.
