TiVo-powered high-def DVR?

The reason I speculate why all the delays, is that no body wants to pay TiVo for using TiVo's interface. Why? They can do with their own DVRs just fine. The only reason is TiVo can sue them for infringement if they do not sign agreement with TiVo.

But the TiVo v. E* lawsuit has been going nowhere. Everyone is watching this case, if the judge does not order E* to shut off the DVRs, others will have less reasons to work with TiVo and pay TiVo.

D* is watching, I think.

Yes they are and they have seen there has already been 104 million reasons to stay with Tivo so far.

Of course, but did that make them wanting to move their butts faster? NOT!

That $104M (minus the appropriate interest) should have been handed over to TiVo over two years ago. It was delayed for two years, that fact only made them less threatened.

Many TiVo folks are using this $104M payment as if it was such a huge win just happened yesterday. No, it happened over two years ago, since then, TiVo had yet won a single new game!
