Tivo & OTA question

I am a E* subscriber. I want to know that since D* doesn't carry my locals on the dish if I put up an OTA ant. can I record shows with the TIVO since it is not coming over the satellite? Most of my recording is on the local networks so them being on the dish is helpful.

directv tivos can not record thru the antenna/cable port only over the satellite service

Just to point out, the SD tivos's can't do this, but hte HD tivo can do this without problems.

I may be nitpicking, but a little clarification-- the HD DirecTivo records digital signals only; so, yes, it records OTA signals, but only if they're digital. If you have a local TV station that is not yet transmitting a digital signal that you can receive, then the HD Tivo won't record it for you. In fact, the HD Tivo does not even 'see' analog broadcasts.
