I recently sent my first email to DTV regarding a question I had for Superfan, I did not see it on my account so I wondered if I was going to get it for free or if it was added at all. I did not expect to gety an email so quick, It is nice to get a response, in days where customer service overall is lacking: Here was the response to my email

i have found, for the most part, that the csr's who respond to my email queries are very helpful.....not all.....but most!

I e-mailed about SuperFan a few weeks ago. After several e-mail exchanges, a CSR called me directly at home. It was a very professional conversation and I am happy to report, the fee for SuperFan was waived.

If you purchased or renewed NFL ticket from 4/26-4/30 you are suppose to get the SuperFan for free. Mine was added in my programming last month with no charge. The whole fuss before the NFL draft was you had to get an email, but I know of several people who just called and mentioned the email and received the SF for free.

does this include auto renewals?

Yeah I want to know too.

I spoke with a D* rep awhile back and mentioed that the SF was being given out for free around draft time, I think I was asking about which deal was better, the early bird or the auto-renewal, he told me definatly the auto- renewal was the way to go, and that the SF would be free for me and that it would not show up on the bill (computer) until July.
Now I do not know if this info is an over all statement or if they go by an account by account basis.

You would think that if you did the auto-renewal you would get the best available ...

I have notice that the ST channel shows that I am authorised, but that has no mention of the SF on it. Of course I can't seam to find the authorization channel anymore, they probably dropped it until closer to the season.

btw, what is the email address you guys are using to contact D* ?
