Upon cleaning out my workshop, I found a treasure. In 1992 I had ordered a Thompson 24 inch actuator as the next replacement for my prosat actuator that had been replaced already. My Toshiba system board failed afterwards and Dish was coming into town so I went with dish. Now after all those years, I found this actuator in it's original box with the sales invoice and Skyvision (remember them?) catalog. The sensor is the reed switch type which is what my Toshiba system required. The original Drake system used the potentiometer for feedback.
I would like to recover 50% of what I paid for it in '92 which translates to $120.00 (not including shipping). I will also throw in a good prosat heavy duty 36vdc controller with remote; however, the controller used the potentiometer feedback system so it would only be useful as an open loop driver for the Thompson Saginaw unit.
I will be happy to supply photo's or any information that I have on the Thompson unit. Contact me at sam8591@gmail.com
