So this guy at work wants to use two way Motorola radios they have already in the plant for talking to other employees...but he has some idea about voip working with those two way moto...but he's talking about using radio at plant in a repeater to voip...then talk to people at the warehouse a mile away with moto radios using another voip...
So existing moto...add a voip to moto box he thinks will work (he mentioned using that new moto wave stuff....but this won't work will it?

I could see this happening. I had in mind an "obsolete" way of doing it, but a little google search turned up some interesting stuff. How about these specs.

I used to work for BP at one of the refineries. This option was set up. You could make a phone connection from a handy talkie. It was authorized to certain people and it's use was frowned upon. People tended to monopolize the channel for too long.
