is over $14.00 per month. Not really sure if it is worth it. I have 2 722's, with 1 using the home distribution set up to feed other tv's. I can't remeber if the hopper has this same type of setup, as I have never actually seen the hopper. Is it possible to switch out the 722's for the hoppers? Would each be able to access the other's recordings? Would it really be worth adding the joeys to small tv's (15" & 22").

You are able to view recordings from either Hopper. There is no home distribution on the Hopper. Each TV would need a Hopper or Joey.
NOT necessarily...you can easily add an external modulator to the A/V outputs of a H or J, then feed the RF signal to any/all TV's you want - of course, it will NOT be in HD...but for secondary locations w/SDTV's only, it can be perfectly acceptable.
I'm doing this very thing in my house. (TOO many TV's to pay for a H or J on EVERY one - & many are still SDTV's that work just fine!
) The new zigbee (RF) remotes on the H/J's seem to have a much better reach than the legacy RF remotes do...
Still No. You would have to go through a local retailer. Dish is not allowed to set up a Hopper without a Joey.
OR do as I did: Order 2H/2J. I planned on returning the 2 J, but then after we got them, we thought it might be worth keeping them. One was for my Mother In Law. She did not like it. Just wanted locals via my DTV Pal on an SDTV (which we had planned on replacing). The second Joey was in our exercise room. So we deactivated the 2 Joeys. No problem. Ended up with 2H/0J. But the return boxes, over 2 weeks later, have still not arrived. We bought a Joey, to use in the exercise room or elsewhere, activating and deactivating as needed. But then discovered, it made more sense to deactivate (never buy) the owned Joey, because we have a transmitter that will send SD to that exercise room SDTV. <sigh>
Better get in touch with DIRT about your Joeys. I'm not sure what the grace period is, but Dish was already leaving stern automated messages to return the receivers within a couple of days of the arrival of the box for my leased Joey that I returned. I don't remember how long the box took, but it wasn't too terribly long. I also remember having a tracking number for the box both to and from my house. Then again I set up the return through DIRT. Two weeks is a long time if you ask me.

I sent Dish an e-mail last night. Trying to save DIRT time for bigger things, but if the e-mail doesn't work, they're my only remaining option.

this setup would be similar to the 722's home distribution...............but would this mean that the main tv connected with hdmi & the modulated set have to watch the same programing or would it still function that both could watch different programs
If I have Dish do the upgrade, I need a Joey for each Hopper. If I contact a local installer, I should be able to get a two Hopper setup, no Joeys required. Do I have that right?
I have never believed that all rules need to be followed.

The Hopper system is not a drop in replacement for ViPs. Wiring is a bit different, using nodes and maybe taps, etc.
