thinking of changing from E*to D*

wanting to change from dish.can the hr 21 do the same aspect ratio as the 622.do i have to watch sd channels with a black line on the side of the tv.does it switch to 16x9 ratio for hd.should i request newrecievers or does it matter.are there any promblems with the direct software for the hr21.thanxs for any help and advice.

The HR2x will zoom, stretch, or pillar box SD channels, at your option.

I'd mention you are a current E* sub thinking of switching and see what that gets you. I've used the fact that E* HD DVRs were free to get my HR20 for free.
