I "moved" back today, and scheduled for that for an upgrade. Actually I was even told I might even get a new dish. I want both 4K and ALL the SonicTap channels, but I'm just hoping I didn't "move" back and schedule a service call for nothing. And if by any chance you have even more additional data, I'd like to make sure these LNBs are in my area, for another reason to make sure I'm not wasting my time. I live in Rochester, Minnesota. Any input, guys?

I've not seen one yet, and I haven't seen any posts from people who have one (except for the trials)
There are none on ebay, none from the online sellers. I think you have jumped the gun on this one...

My local installer says they don't carry them because we are not an area that needs 119. If someone has the ethnic package the installer should bring a 5LNB but often might not. And if you just use 119 for sonic tap etc, there is nothing on your account so unless you tell the installer beforehand or the installer just happens to have one on the van the install would need to be rescheduled.

Does anyone actually listen to sonic tap?

I might once per year for holiday music, but that's it.
Please dont remind me ...;

As that of course is exactly what's stopping me from changing to any variety of a SWiM LNB.

That pesky H&H SonicTap music channel mainly for the holiday music format that begins on or right after Halloween, to which DIRECTV frustratingly keeps on the 119W bird.

Sister loves it, so need to keep it.

Was hoping for the longest time the new Reverse Band 5 LNB was the ultimate answer, but DIRECTV's unexplained reason (possibly future channel bonding?) of limiting it to only 13 tuner support shot down the idea of course ...

its currently software limited to 13, im sure they'll run it higher when they think it wont cause any problems.

I went 4K and they did not use a 5 LNB. I lost some Sonic Tap (more below), one local channel (the only one in SD, a second PBS station) and the ability to access lots of channels I do not subscribe to (Spanish). It also removed the SD duplicates of most channels.

As to ST, it is a remnant of a bygone era. 10 or 15 years ago DirecTV and DISH would say that they had X number of channels, way more than Big Cable. Only in the fine print did you find out that 100 of them were audio channels. Today there are 100 other ways to get music. And you pay for the music channels even if you don't listen. Both providers should drop these.

It should not have removed the SD duplicates. You just need to unset "Hide SD duplicates".

Got that LNB! Just going to wait for the call to review the tech, then I am going to "move" back!

No, it removes all SD duplicates not just LIL...

Sorry, I meant lil sd duplicates would be removed as well as conus sd channels.

The CONUS SD channels are only removed if they are duplicates of an HD channel.

Except FS Wisconsin and FS Oklahoma (ch 668-1 and 676-5, respectively) which each has a decent amount of stuff on the SD channel that isn't on the HD channel but is still hidden if you hide SD duplicates.
