Might as well have aquariums behind the plate since there won't be any fans there. :D

Yes.....I LOVE the ideal! This stadium, at least on the INSIDE, will be one of the most unique in ALL of baseball.

And Ramy, this stadium and the product on the field WILL bring them in.

I really do hope it does, not only for the Marlins sake, but for baseball in general.

They will. Right now, as it stands....they play in a football stadium that when set-up for baseball....it holds approx. 55,000 folks....and during the playoffs in 2003, they stated it could be set-up for 62,000. That new stadium will be setup for 39,000, A/C, roof. People do not realize how crazy the weather is in south Florida. I live approx. 20 minutes or less(depending on traffic) from where the new stadium is gonna be. It could be BEAUTIFUL where I am....and rainning 6 inches by the stadium....hell, it could be rainning that bad 3 miles away...and not a single drop fall by my house. It is like that ALL SUMMER. The MAIN issue will parking...as far as I am concerned. That stadium will be in a neighborhood area, very similar setting to Wrigley Field. IF the do the parking right.....with the train coming in....OMG, that will big HUGE. IF not, OMG, it will COULD BE a nightmare.

I am crossing my fingers on that one. I am hoping that they use the method used by the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida. They have a 6 or 7 story parking garage with a capacity of over 15,000 cars. It is absolutely incredible!

...the details:

"Each aquarium will be constructed using a durable fiberglass structure, and white crystal-clear acrylic panels 1.5 inches thick will be used for the viewing windows. To safeguard it from impact, Lexan — the material used for bulletproof windows — will be installed in front and in back of the acrylic panels."

....from the same article....

Sounds nice. I really like the new Reds stadium. The cutout that allows you to see into downtown is a nice touch.

Can you imagine waiting to get out of that one and on to the local highways ! :D

I have to get down there, I haven't been in the Cincy area for many years now.

Riverfront was pretty new when I was there last !

I am going on July 17th if you want to meet down there. I am bringing my nephew to the game. We will be in the left field outfield seats.

PETA is a PITA.

PETA IS A PUTA ;)

I pass by where they are building this stadium every day. looking great. i'll be glad when they finally leave dolphin stadium, land shark or whatever the hell they call it now. i hate when two sports like baseball and football are played in one stadium. makes the field a mess.

This is really pathetic. It has to be the worst thing ever put in a baseball stadium. As for PETA they only go after things like this that gives them publicity.

The "good" I see from super conferences
