Just 4 days left - rumors turn into predictions based on rumors
Apple’s October 4 iPhone 5 event: What to expect

Haven't read this one before: the one in the corner of the phone icon means just one model will be introduced...

I suspect $640 is the unlocked version.
About what the Galaxy S II can be had for...

Not sure I believe those prices. The copyright info listed on the first image is 2010. So either it's a fake or the site doesn't bother to regularly update it's footer (which in my mind harms it's credibility).

Today I heard the CW Union has asked the people to boycott the iphone purchase to force Verizon to meet their demands. They don't want iphone buyers to cross their picket lines. If I wanted to buy an iphone, you know what I would say to those union picket lines... Go F yourself! Sorry, I'm not a fan of unions and their tactics.

Anyway, tomorrow's the big day. Are you ready? :)

You could always buy online. :) Which I prefer because I like setting the phone up myself.

I thought they were back at work while the contract was being worked out... They were on strike a couple weeks last month.

Sheesh! It's a virtual picket line crossing, LOL! The Union wants you to boycott the iphone purchase which doesn't mean go buy it online. It means don't buy it period, until the contract negotiations are settled. They believe Apple mostly but also AT&T, Sprint will all twist Verizon's management's arm to agree with the union demands. Won't work but it is a newsworthy issue, just stupid Union tactics.

Well, I am not a fan of corporations and their greedy exploitation of workers, BUT you know we don't talk about politics here. Thanks. :)

(Meant as a bit of friendly sarcasm folks. Lets keep the ideological / political stuff out so I don't have to delete posts. Gracias. ).

No politics at all Mike. But I don't feel it should be taboo to discuss when a non-political labor organization is telling me they don't want me to buy a product under those circumstances. If they want to tell their membership they are not permitted to purchase a product then I have no problem with that. The tactics I'm referring to are the violent actions members are often encouraged by the union organization leaders to use to encourage the public to abide by their wishes. Sorry if you felt I was attempting to talk politics here. I certainly was not. It has everything to do with a union contract with a corporation and a tactic the union chose to use that affects another corporation's sales and my right as a private individual to purchase a product.

Sorry Don, but talking about union organizing - or being critical of it - is definitely political. And even discussion which is not intended to be political, ends up going down that path (as my somewhat facetious comment illustrates). You don't like labor unions for ideological reasons, others like them. Lets just stick on topic... i.e., perfectly fine to say labor unions are encouraging folks not to buy iphones from Big Red; all together a different thing to add commentary to that info along the lines of "If I wanted to buy an iphone, you know what I would say to those union picket lines... Go F yourself! Sorry, I'm not a fan of unions and their tactics. " That violates our rules.

Thanks. And now lets get back to our regularly scheduled topic.... less than 12 hours until the long awaited announcement.

I am still thinking 2 iphones or more...

Today's the day that my wife and I decide either iPhone or Android on Verizon Wireless.

if you want to believe the wall street journal, it sounds like sprint gets exclusive rights to iphone 5 for a few months while verizon and at&t get the 4s. it sounds like the major improvement on verizon's version is 4g lte capability.

So anybody think "Steve" will be at the announcement? Personally, I doubt it.
