The reviews show the 921 is using the almost exact same OS as the 721.
Linux (the Dish version created by Ian Nelson ) and Standard IDE Hard Drives.
I could not believe what I was reading on the 721. Wow!
The basic OS design sounds just like the Direct Tivos.
Since the 921 box is so big, I wonder if Dish will be selling 2nd Hard Drive upgrade options down the road (a high profit item).
The Dish Linux OS should be plug and play for the 2nd drive.
