1. I turned on my main HwS S529 (1 of 2) at 9:35pm and found a black transparent window on the bottom saying that the guide was downloading and so on & so forth. It was only there when I tried to watch a program in full screen. So I did some work and waited. 45 minutes later the progress meter never moved and it didn't go away. So I waited for the news to get to a point where I could do a "Red Button Reset". But first I looked at the TV Activity page and saw Tuner 3 was recording the "Big 4" (PTAT is only on for Saturdays) but the NBC channel was showing the The History Channel logo and the name of the current program airing. The others were CBS, ABC, FOX. So I RBR'd and the window went away, all the while all timers recorded as they should, even though it implied that they may not. Several hours later I go watch the local NBC news and see that there are two programs, thinking that the news was cut in two by the reset. No, one program was "Alone" on H1 but marked as in the local news folder and the other was the local NBC news intact marked as and in the local news folder. So basically it recorded 5 channels, only showing 4, one being not of the "Big 4". Am I discovering how they do 16 channels on the H3? Or a forth coming feature? OR just another bug? I was expecting to see that it had updated to S530. Nope.

2. My speakers pop when I skip or the picture drops to the UI or back from. This happens on both HDMI and Optical.

3. Programs that were recorded a day ago or more have the green "playing" arrow and can't be deleted until they are watched for a second.

Can you please send me a PM with your account #, 4 digit pin #, R00, S00, Bootstrap and Software version. I can submit these as know issues for a resolution.

The activity screen can show up to 6 "tuners" active if 4 of them are PTAT networks 24/7 even if PTAT is not active or turned on. You could be recording 4 shows on the PTAT networks and watching 2 cable channels, for example.

Nope. It actually recorded the H1 program in addition to the ones it was suppose to showing the H1 program in the 4 channel split, while also recording the local NBC without a tag in the display. Tonight the schedule is showing that the same H1 channel that I have a timer set for and the NBC network channel will record at the same time on the Purple tuner. While the "PTAT" one tuner (Blue) will be recording the other three of the Big 4 networks. I have to go to a Battle of the Bands tonight at 7 when this is all suppose to happen, so I plan on watching to see what happens, if I can. But this won't be the last time and I wouldn't be surprised if it records all 5 on the one tuner like it did last night.

Now don't get me wrong, this is not a bad thing for once, things are getting recorded instead of skipped. It's just that lately DISH gear is really "something". I'll leave it at that.

Am sending info requested in PM. Although as I mentioned it's not all bad. The Multiple Tuners doing multiple channels is great. We're not missing programing like was have in the past.

Also add:
4. Programs stopping at anytime during playback getting the Erase, DVR, Live TV panel, this has made many think the program has been cut short, if only they knew to go back to the recording in the "DVR" panel reselect the same program, fast forward to the point it stopped and continue on from there and it does continue. When reselecting the program there is no "resume" option. It's as is you are watching for the first time. This was new as of S529.

5. Episode Numbering: The Night Watchman. The series only has 6 episodes. When first shown they are numbered S1, Ep1. Now on the encore showings, they are numbered Ep8, Ep9. There's only 6 episodes. Where'd numbers 8 & 9 come from? Also programs have had Ep101 for S1, Ep1. When doing a search you get mixed numbering in the results and it's hard to tell what is what. This is rampant throughout the guide and has been a problem for decades. TitanTV and TVGuide are severely more accurate than the DISH Guide. Just adding this to the list, but it's not an S529 issue but for decades.

Looking at the upcoming schedule, I am seeing several timers all doing double duty. My HwS is now capable of multi-tuner multi-channel recording. It feels more like a mutation than a feature. But I'm lovin' it.
