the directv plus hd dvr

I am getting a directv plus hd dvr upgrade. Can someone please tell me what equipment the technician will have to install in order for me to record one channel while watching another channel? A reply will be greatly appreciated.

If that's all you're getting (1 receiver) then just it, (receiver) a dish and run 2 lines to the receiver - 1 for each tuner in the unit. If it is a SWM setup, then a SWM dish (or dish w/SWM multiswitch, but only if you have more than 4 tuners I believe) and run 1 line to the receiver.

SWM = single wire multiswitch (which means a line can carry info for more than 1 tuner)
