The Arcade is OFFLINE

As you may have noticed the Arcade is currently offline as we do some system tests. Depending on the outcome of these tests it could be a day or two before it is re-enabled.

They may need to be if we wipe it all out.

We have actually been having problems with the score keeping and we were told to reset the scores by the arcades author.

But we haven't done that yet. So one way or another they will get reset somewhere down the road.

Quite an obsession to be on top , I for one don't care if the scores get wiped out.

There are a couple of games I really enjoy and I don't stop playing them when I get Top Score , if I like the game I always go back and play.

I just played in my 1st Tournament yesterday and today went to check how it was going , that's when I figured out the arcade was down.

If it all gets reset , no biggie.

I use the arcade to relax before work.

And it helps me get through watching American Idol with my wife...who is 38 wks preggo been on bedrest for the last 20wks...(shes actually been preggo for 13 of 15 mos!)

I might just lose it without the arcade.

As for high scores wipe em out for all I care.

I have just turned on the arcade after making a number of changes to the arcade as suggested by other forum operators who also use the same arcade software.

In addition all scores have been pruned so only the scores from the last 60 days are shown.

In addition tournament results older then 45 days have also been removed (we are actually told this could be a major part of the issue we have been seeing)

We will continue monitoring the server closely, and if we see the server load issue the arcade will be immediately shut off and we will conduct further testing.

I shut down the arcade and immediately the server load dropped (and is still dropping)

I turned it back on again though. I am still monitoring it.

Ok after I turned it back on a few seconds later it shot up again. By the time I got to shut it off the server load was well over 100 (see the picture)

Since turning it off it has not happened again. (In fact here is what the server looks like when its running normally...)

Notice we are currently at about a load of 0.50

We can go to a little higher then 7.50 on this server and no one will notice any slow down. (Thats how powerfull this server is)

Imagine what it was like today at 125.0! I want to get this problem fixed once and for all.

Sorry for the arcade downtime, it WILL be back.

Yes I know Satcity Personally, and he already called me today, saying he hopes they don't reset the scores.....but he said not to fear if they do.
