yeah, I've been tempted to get that plus a few other movies.. engadget said the hd-dvd version was supposed to have more contant the the other format.. web downloadable game.. pip blue screen version (so you can see how much cgi was added..
300 should be an interesting one to watch for HD DVD vs. Blu-ray sales. This type of movie should appeal PS3 owners that also actually use it as a game machine - and have an HDTV. And Warner is being pretty neutral on this release - the HD DVD version get the interactive features - 'cause they can't work yet on the more expensive, bigger selling high def format. But then Warner threw in the PCM audio for them (in addition to TrueHD) as consolation prize. And the HD DVD version is 4 bucks more for the combo.
This dual format owner is going for the Red version, like I have for every dual format release so far. Better audio, PiP interactive features, web enabled interactivity, etc., etc. Tough choice!
Looks like others have decided on the Red flavor, too -
The standard DVD version is already the #2 top selling DVD on Amazon. The HD DVD combo is #9 . . . . and the Blu-ray version? #32.
good find putting mine on preorder. I wish there was a way or a list of when amazon put movies up for pre order on hd dvd and blueray. I would pre order movies if I knew they went up.
