Testing New Ad Format

Registered members might have noticed a change today as we have introduced a new ad format for our registered members.

They look something like this...

These ads are fully interactive (the demo photo above however is not) you can point to learn more about the product and as well as find the internets best deals on those items.

These ads will temporarly replace the google ads registered members see above the last post in any thread. We are doing this for two reasons:

1) We always are looking for ways to give our members the best buys for their money, with this new technology its goes out and finds you some of the best prices on home entertainement / home theater items.

2) We are looking for ways of raising more revenue for the site so that we can expand the site with new features. It is out hope that this new ad format will be more enjoyable to you so that you are more likely to click on some of the items you see.

Just an update, so far the new ads are being well received I have received a few emails and PMs asking about the new ads as others want to use them on their website.

The comany is called Chitika and the nice part about this program is you can use them with Google Ads without no issues. You can even use both on the same page.

Earning so far have been ok, about $6 a day over the two days we have been running them. If that keeps up for 30 days thats $180 going to help us pay our bills, so it's not a bad thing.

Thanks for the demo, I was about to ask wtf this was about after 3 days of nobody saying anything and not seeing any changes to the ads I see...

I just started getting occasional "slide out" boxes in the lower right hand corner of my screen that show other "search results by Chitaka", so I searched this site for that term and found it has been mentioned in a handful of threads here over the last eight years, beggining with this one. it invited me to make a click selection, which I deferred from doing. Is there any reason why I might just now be seeing this for the first time here?
