Can somebody confirm which is the strongest signal on Telstar 12 @ 15W right now? In past, I used MSNBC at 11709 V 3195. I'm pushing my dish in the warm Easter sun right now. But I've never actually found this satellite with current dish / LNB. If I can't find it this weekend, I may put my previous dish back in place.

I have now found only two transponders on the satellite: MSNBC at 11709 V 3195 and TPAI / RTVGE at 11964 H 14714. USALS was not accurate probably due to 15W being 58 degrees east of my due south position. A little manual bumping using DiSEqC control solved this.

I gotta do something to keep from getting bored with Ku. I actually like watching MSNBC too. Today 15W...tomorrow onward to 8W and 12.5W!

I only got that sat once years ago in the winter with no leaves on the neighbors trees.
Got the fixed dish aimed at 30w now.

I have never received 30W: too far north for footprint, I believe. But what's a good tp right now? I'll try with my newly oriented dish and powerful new microHD.

12051h 27500 or 12051v 27500
amazonas3 is supposed to be starting up soon on 61w
I picked up a test tp the other day.

No again on 30W. Most of the footprints over the Atlantic weren't designed for people in Nova Scotia. But I did find both SatMex satellites except the stations on SatMex 6 use 4.2.0 which I can't see. But always fun to find new ones. So along with 15W, it was a successful day in the sun.

Would you want a bigger Ku dish at some point to try to get this bird? Can't recall if you have the room for more or bigger.

Cyberham good easter.ok t12 mnbc strong signal 11709v 3200 7/8 11860h sr 45000 4/5 dvbs2 qpsk2 pilot on 11920h 45000 4/5 dvbs2 pilot on 11964h 14714 3/4 dvbs tpa 12170h 45000 dvbs2 5/6 qpsk2 pilot on 12170v 45000 3/4 dvbs2 all very good signal only tpa at 11964 at 74 quality the rest at 84 quality on my vantage vt1 and azbox.Ok have one good day on the best country in the world. dish size 1.2 meter

No more hardware for now. My first priority is to get my spare Ku dish fixed on 125W for the good PBS stuff to compete with LPB on 87W I currently like. I know the 125W signal is there since I've received it at this location before. Next priority...well, my 7.5-foot C-band dish is laughing at me since it knows I'll probably never get it installed.

I checked each frequency you mentioned. I see hints of some of them, but the only ones with enough signal to lock are 11709 and 11964. Maybe tomorrow I'll try to tweak on this satellite in particular. I've received the ones you mentioned a year ago with a different dish.

Swapped my standard LNB for a universal LNB this morning so I could scan full band on 15W. All signals are a little stronger and now a test pattern at 11772 V 4799 that's strong enough to lock scanning in as Ch-1.

Can pick up 30w here in MB not too bad, just 6 degrees off the horizon. Was thinking of trying for 15W by setting up a dish on my tower maybe up 25' or so to minimize terrestrial interference. Doubt if it will work... maybe in certain conditions when the atmosphere bends the signals a bit such as tropo etc. 200-300 miles farther east would work but I don't have that much feedline :)
-C.

For sure! Just locked on 8W four channels called Mega 1 ~ 4. 10960 V 5000 with solid DVB-S2 signals. This is a first for 8W.

The best thing about searching for and finding 15W and 8W was it allowed me to peak my dish at one extreme end of the arc like I never have before. 15W is 58 degrees azimuth east of my due south. Probably due to touching up my dish mast for perfect verticalness, precise dish aiming on 15W, changing the LNB, and crystal clear weather, I am now receiving the whole arc with signal quality on all channels better than ever before. The Pentagon Channel is back in full HD with good strength on 101W. Huntington Beach waves have never been clearer on 103W. And I found both SatMex5 and Satmex6 for the first time with 4 never-before-received foreign channels on the latter. Now doing detailed scan of 15W in the early morning to see if anything new can be received.

Added: CTV clear and encrypted channels scanned in but no content found. Probably short feeds that ended by the time my scan completed. Also a channel with a Sunday service in English and a foreign language.
