Telemundo turned on for Olympics?

I see the channels in red, will they be in free preview by Friday? Madison, WI does not have a local network OTA, just on Charter digital cable.

Telemundo will broadcast Spanish language telecast similar to NBC-HD. All other HD broadcast will be on USA-HD and Universal-HD, Universal Sports Basketball Channel-HD and Universal Sports-Soccer HD.

The short answer is, no. Telemundo and Universal HD will NOT be in free preview mode as far as I know.

The Olympics programming on Telemundo will be soccer in SD.

Dish Network has a special Olympics Soccer Channel in HD (channel 98 or 99, the other one is baseketball) which has the same games in HD.

So Telemundo wont show anything in HD? Telemundo in L.A. is in HD. I've seen some specials on there in HD but they aren't sports related.

If you look in your Onscreen Guide, you will see occasional 1-2 hour Olympics programming blocks with things like beach volleyball, swimming and cycling.

But it looks like they also want to preserve the normal Telemundo programming for people who are not interested in the Olympics.

In cities with large Hispanic populations, some NBC stations have spanish dubbing on SAP alternate audio.
