you will be able to watch one satellite program and record another or record an OTA program...
This is a mistake right? The 211 has only 1 sat tuner so what they mean is you can watch a recorded show and record another.

that's true rad.
How it could be true, if rad compare prices for leased HRxx and OWNED ViPxxx ?!
Forgot that the E* was purchase, so what's the lease going to be?

If I remember right they said do not connect more than one EHDD, yet... just like that, would have to go back and listen to again but I believe that is what I heard...I wasn't able to watch but from the posts here I suppose nobody asked about the future possibility of mutiple EHD's via a USB hub. Did I miss any info on this?
Okay, so what's the best deal on a compatible USB HDD to use with the ViP211 as a DVR? I would think that about 250 GB would be more than enough storage for the infrequent and/or casual user. Any recommended HDDs for this upgrade?
Yea, but the MSRP for the 722K is $300 more then the HR21/22/23:
ViP 722K DVR MSRP:
-- $499 with OTA Module
-- $470 without OTA Module
It will be interesting to see what the price is folks really end up paying for it.
Did they mention whether or not they will fix the external HD "bug"/feature where it takes you back to the top of the list every time you exit a program. If you are searching through let's say a bunch of Spongebob recordings it takes me back up the the top of the list instead of leaving me where I was. Real annoying..... Take forever to scroll back down to "S"
$29 to lease the module or to own it? Why would you want to own a module in a leased receiver? If it is a lease upgrade fee then I bet the cost to own it would be more.
I would really like to see this feature.
It was the first Higgins report that I was actually able to sit through to the end.
The "click to setup a DVR timer for the show being advertised" is a great idea. Helps both the customer and the programmers.
