I just received my new TBS6528. I really liked the specs on this card. It supports the new DVBs2x and supports both ACM/VCM and supports high SR rates up to 50000

I did an upgrade, because i was unable to lock many of these newer channels on my OLD USB TBS card.

Does anyone know of any 16apsk or 32apsk channels lockable at the moment so i can test and lock em in.

If there are any dvbs2x I'd love to hear about that too, but i know those are very rare right now.

99w ku has ALOT of ACM/VCM, also ALOT of 16 and 32apsk. no DVB-S2x though

I dont believe the 6528 supports ACM/VCM though, Im also under the impression that it only supports 16/32apsk in DVB-S2x not DVB-S2 but my box with it installed is currently offline so I cant confirm.

Yes, the 6528 Supports ACM/VCM as I have already watched hours of music on the 125w mux. Also, i know it supports at least 16 apsk in DVBs2 as I was watching a mux in 16apsk on 95w a few days ago. I know it doesn't show support for ACM/VCM in the specs, but it does.. :bounce

Thats great to hear ! you using windows or linux? The linux driver still needs more work, I have been away for the last few months and there is only so much I can do remotely.

I'm using Windows, but it does have Linux drivers. The only draw back i have found so far, it doesn't appear to support blind scanning.

The windows driver doesnt support blindscan? I thought it did

The linux driver defn doesnt, you need to enter the SR/system/modulation for it to lock. Im working on it though lol. That and a few other cards, only so much time in the day :)

The TBS blind scan program says otherwise, as well as 2 other programs i have that usually do blind scanning...

Install crazy cats driver and use DVBDream. You can blind scan away! Actually, the newest dream comes with it installed. Go to devices, select your tuner, select crazycat and hit start. Then in DVB dream go to tools blindscan set you parameters and scan away.

Where do you download CrazyCats? Where in the menu system does it show?

If you have DVBDream it is already installed. You can download a free trial. Under tools you will see blind scan. Also as a alternative Smart dvb is free and used the same method. I think in Smart it is under channels in the menu bar. Just make sure you click on devices and pick Crazy Cats driver, Bda driver will not blind scan.

CrazyCats is NOT listed in the device drivers list?? But, i do see StreamReader, is that it, because i saw StreamReader name mentioned when i was doing google searchs on CrazyCats.??

I also just purchased a GTX1050. I had to put two video cards in my computer. Believe it or not, one wouldn't do HEVC and the other wouldn't do the 4:2:2 channels. I pulled out two video cards, and swapped in a new GTX1050 and it is smooth as BUTTER!

Okay, well, caveats....

If i run the stream reader drivers , it performs Blind scan beautifully.
HOWEVER - StreamReader will NOT detect VCM, and if i attempt to play a VCM channel, it freezes the card, and i have to power cycle for like 5 minutes (Shutdown my computer)

If i run the BDA drivers, i can play the VCM mux, but no blind scan.

Also, the EBSPRO TS analyzer doesn't work with this card. It never seems to be able to grab the different PIDS.

I can switch drivers depending on my needs.

But now, I'm having a problem with the Video on the VCM mux on 125. I just switched video cards, so, i gotta figure this out now... Arrgh...

Phew, got it working again. I have to turn OFF hardware decoding, and then it works perfectly. Ill have to keep a cheat sheet for all these things.. :deal
