We're having a Super Bowl party and have tv's in two adjacent rooms.I'm running one off the Joey but there is a lag between the two signals and it drives us nuts. Is there a way too sync them?

Probably. I use a modulator so I can use a regular coaxial splitter to send the signal from my Wally to more than one TV. My rooms are not adjacent, though, so I have no idea how well it stays in sync. This setup is only standard-def, so you would need to use an HDMI splitter if you care about HD.
Closing the door between the rooms is the easy solution...
There is no way to sync the Hopper and the Joey since the Hopper is getting the feed, then sending it to the Joey other than using an HDMI splitter
Syncing the Hopper recordings with Joeys would be a nice feature for DISH to add to the Hopper/Joey whole home system. There are several of us SatGuys that like watching the recordings synced to different rooms.
Ah, make sense. I wonder if using the dvr on the primary set and then pausing it till the rare the same would work?
Best bet is to do it manually using pause or rewind on the Hopper.
Even using a splitter I've seen sync issues with two different brands or models of TV's.
I have the same problem on my H3 using my Bluetooth headset while my wife is listening to the TV speakers.
The reverb is distracting /annoying.

I have 3 tvs in different rooms all hooked up with an HDMI amplified splitter and I can hear no difference between the three sets. All are run thru an Onkyo AV receiver.
Can join the hopper 3 from a joey. It wont work with dvr events, but it will work with live tuners, can be delayed as well.

The solution lies in syncing the audio. Nobody's going to notice the video's not in sync.
Pick one room as the sole source of audio for both rooms. Send that audio to play in the 2nd room. The Joey and the Hopper, in addition to providing audio via HDMI, have a redundant audio output in the form of RCA L and R jacks. Does one of your two rooms have a home entertainment amp? Buy a long RCA male-to-male extension cable and run the audio from the Dish box in one room to an unused (e.g. Tape In) audio input on your amp.
I have a half dozen amps all over my house which pass audio tape-out to tape-in, amplify it and play it through speakers for the given area, and pass it on. Everything plays in sync.
