Thanks to this forum, I'll wait a few months. I had Directv for 4 or 5 years until about one year ago. Was very happy with it. I wanted to add a second receiver and perhaps upgrade my old equipment. They wanted $$$ while at the same time giving stuff away to new customers. It takes 4 months to become a "new" customer. I bought a Sony HDTV, switched to Comcast and expected to return to Directv in 4 or 5 months. Discovered HD programing on Comcast, now can't do without it. While searching to find when Directv would bring HD local channels to Sacramento I found this site. Never heard of HD lite and lots of other stuff discussed here. Thanks, it has been most helpful!
