Hi,

I keep debating upgrading my Dish 722 equipment, or just switching over to DirecTV. I like the idea of having HBO again and that NHL Center Ice actually has HD feeds from Canadian teams. What are the downsides about DirectTV though in comparison? No need for snide remarks etc, just asking.

Thanks,

J

Keep in mind, HBO is expected to reinvent itself in a few months to be more like Netflix than the old HBO we know.

Look at costs, especially once introductory prices end, and equipment.

I believe AT&T offers a money back guarantee- if they’re not happy with your money, they’ll give it back.

FYI, Canadian feeds are all in HD this year (finally!) on Dish

Just one TV, with DVR service. 4k be nice, but not essential.

well one tv with dvr can be done multiple ways, with varying costs
an hr24 would be similar to your 722

the hr54 would be a 5 tuner genie with hdmi out and hd

the hs17 would require a mini, c61k, and give you 4k
7 tuners, 2 boxes

genies come with higher fees

Dish Anywhere Prob.

Pioneer plasma tv and Hopper
