I've got 4 receivers and 2 dishes . One at 110/119, the other I swung around to 61.5.

I have a DP40 switch. My 622 should arrive any day. Will I have to have the DP44 for this to work?

Can someone explain the difference between the DP40 adnd DP44?

Do you mean you have a dp34 and want to know the difference between that and the dpp44?

dp34- 3 sats to 4 tuners.
dpp44- 4 sats to 4 recievers or 8 tuners if youre using a dpp reciever (Dual tuner)

Opps... yes, case of Fat Finger - meant DP34 - so, will I need the DP44? If so, why - what is the difference?

Already have a 211 for one room and will replace an older (don't remember model number PVR) with the 622, plus one remaining 301.

Will end up with 211, 622, 301 and older model PVR. 2 DP dishes on roof - one pointing at 110/119, the other at 61.5 OTA w/ attic antenna pulls in all locals SD and HD.

You'd need a DPP44 only, if you do mot want to pull another cable to the 622. The only way to avoid pulling another cable is to use a DPP 44 and a DishPro separator for the 622.

If you can pull another cable, another DP34 will do.

Another solution for adding the fifth feed would be, if you had a DP quad, you can cascade the second output of the DP dual lnb of the wing dish to a connection of the quad with a DP21. Using a DP splitter and another DP21, you can even add a sixth feed.

Note that if the fifth (non-HD) tuner only needs 110/119, you can plug a DP21 into two of the trunking outputs of the DP34 (should be 119=1 and 110=2).

Nope; tried it, already. Won't work. I got conflicts. It'll work, if all the receivers are on two satellites. You can't have some on three and some on two.

The only way you can add a fifth receiver is to use a DP Quad, since all of the quad outputs are isolated from each other.

You can also use the second output of the DP dual lnb cascaded with the quad through a DP21 on 129 or 61.5 to get the third satellite for the fifth receiver.

If you need three satellites on a sixth, you can use another DP21 and a DP power passing splitter.

new hd packages

Upgrading to 522 or 625
