switch from E* to D*

I have read on these forum where people have gotten sweet deals on the HR20 and the H20. Like for free. Who do you talk to, because when I call the best deal that I can get is $100 off a premium receive. That means that they would charge me $300 for two receivers. They did say that they would increase the per month discount from $5 to $10 and then they would give an additional rebate of $10 per month for 10 months. Told them that was not good enough and that I would stay where I was. I did have D* about two years ago.

First keep in mind that getting the best deal "requires" in most cases several phone calls and time so simply put it requires some effort on your part. So with that in mind the department that you need to request is "Customer Retention". Once your talking with a rep in customer retention just tell the rep you cannot justify paying 300 bucks upfront for the right to lease an HD DVR. Tell them you would like to get it free like many other people have got.

If one rep says no hang up and try again. Many people can speak with five reps in a row who say no discount and the sixth rep says without any problems yes you can get a free HD DVR. This system is so random that you never know what rep will be the one to give you the deal.
