Is Richard Hatch stupid? No. Is he arrogant Yes.
He has already served time but he has yet to pay the taxes. And it's not just the money from the show . He was paid when he worked at a radio station . He also received other income because of the show.

He made the money and hasn't paid taxes ... he says he's innocent ?
Innocent of WHAT exactly, if you've paid the taxes then you have proof, if not, your NOT innocent.

CBS gave him the prize money with no taxes taken out . Hatch said that CBS told him they would pay the taxes . But Hatch received 100 percent of the money so he knew that wasn't true. But what really got him in hot water was the other money he earned and didn't report. He may have made at least another million with endorsements and the radio gig he had. And he didn't pay any taxes on any of that income.
