This is a pull from a laptop that used to belong to my wife. Works great, less filling. It's a generation back so you'll "only" get performance in the 220 MB/sec range for reads and 200MB/sec for writes.
It performed flawlessly, but it's been sitting in the original box for over a year. No point in letting it sit around unused.
I can preformat with NTFS / ExFat and/or Ext4 depending on your needs.
