SuperDish Lnb replacement 119

I have a superdish that was used for reception of 119/110/105 when they first came out(2004?). I am at 32408 panama city florida. The 105 is not required for my locals anymore.

I have lost the even transponders from the 119 lnb/dual feed on both receivers. Prior to lost, the 119 would only work in early morning, or late evening after the temp went down. Today the symptoms have become steady no 119 evens, and sometimes nothing at all on both receivers. Check switch shows odd for 119,dual. The dish has three lnbs, each independent, the 119 and 110 have two connections, and the 105 has a single connection that go to the dp34 switch.

What type of lnb do I look for in the used market/after market to replace the 119 dual lnb.
model number ect.

Easy to swap, since its on an outrigger, one screw, and one connection to switch.

System uses superdish, sw34, 811, 311 and 119/110 satellites, no hd requirement.

I have seen posts about something called stacked, however, I am not sure how this plays with the 119/110 lnbs.

Thanks

Bob

You just need a DP (Dish Pro) Dual. That's a single LNB (DBS type) with two outputs. I had to replace the one on my SuperDish recently because of the dreaded LNB drift message. And you're correct about it being trivial to change.

The DishPro (DP) LNBF, DishPro Plus (DPP) LNBF, and SuperDish LNBF's are stacked, i.e., they send the Right and Left Polarized (or Vertical & Horizontal) signals at the same time (in response to DiSEqC commands); whereas the legacy LNBF send either the R or L signals as requested by the receiver with a change in voltage.

As sigmtr said, get either a DP Single (1 out) or DP Dual (2 outs) (but NOT a DP Twin or DPP Twin). There will be a black DP on the back of a DishPro LNBF.

EDIT:
Although your 119 and 110 each have 2 (output) connectors, I'm sure you are only using one connector from each LNBF going to the DP34 switch. If for some reason you are using 2, then you will need a DP Dual, which is easier to find. Since the 105 is not being used, you should be able to remove that cable.

Thanks for the feedback

Thanks for the replys, I will search out a new lnb dish pro dual. Yes, the 119 and 110 only have one connection to the dp34. Just as an additional check, I measured the voltage at the cable connection to the 119 lnb and found it had 17.8 vdc. It appears it has completely went awol. Hopefully I can find a local replacement or the good internet sources.

Thanks Bob

Appreciate the info on stacked. In the old days, we called it the "e" plane / horizontal or vertical. Just like Mega Hertz vs Mega Cycles...Time marches on.
