I'm north of Border and using IP Vanish on my phone with a server location which is same as my service location. The app gives me a message stating I'm travelling and isn't available outside the United States.. any tricks i can try.. the dtv app works without issue can stream all available programming

Have you tried a GPS spoofing app? Years ago, I used to use GPS spoofing apps to trick my phone to think I was in Alaska, so I could stream in-market hockey games when I played DD for a group of friends who liked to party, but I don't. It worked like charm.

or see if you can turn the gps off, restart phone, then try again?
