So it went from China, to Hong Kong, to Alaska, to Kentucky, back to Hong Kong, back to Alaska and now its in Canada.

Man that thing has some miles on it. :D

Looks like it was recalled and sending another one. Apple may be do quality checks as people are reporting display issues.

I had a pre-order from Amazon ship from Arizona go to Kentucky > Dallas > Albuquerque then here not that long ago...
Shipped by UPS ? Almost ALL air shipments by UPS will go through Louisville KY and with FedEx, through Memphis TN, no matter how illogical it appears to us.

Yes, but I've have had many go straight to Albuquerque from Arizona ...
If there's a high enough volume, i.e. a trailer load, going to a nearby city with a UPS hub (and maintaining 1-day service), I understand that UPS will take that trailer directly to the destination hub/terminal. There's an Amazon warehouse in Jeffersonville IN (across the Ohio River from Louisville KY) that most of my Amazon stuff comes from. More than a few times, the tracking shows "shipment info rec'd" and the next scan is in Dayton OH when it's unloaded from the trailer. No pick-up scan in Jeffersonville, at the local hub, etc.

crossing international dateline in the chart makes the date look confusing. I've had similar confusing tracking with stuff I ordered from China.

My 2 iPad Mini were shipped via Fedex from the same place, and tracking looks normal. I wonder why some iPad Mini are shipped via UPS, and others are thru Fedex?

Looking forward to a Scott Greczkowski review.
