I just now getting around to posting this. A few weeks ago I tried the Geosat C2 LNBF on my 8 foot Odum dish (solid). I have this dish since 1985 and has been great on both 4DTV and C-Band FTA.
I wanted to try out the C2.
I went to to G16 99W. I got The Sheppard Channel (TP 16) with good signal.
Then I went to TP 17 and skewed the LNBF till I got the color bars and its highest
signal. Switched back to TP 16. nothing. I skewed the LNBF, got it back. Went back to TP 17, nothing... :(
I went back and forth over and over again. I noticed I have to skew the LNBF quite a ways to get the polarity to come in.
What am I doing wrong? Usually with a regular C band LNB I can get the polarities to do right.
BTW, I was using the 4DTV 920 receiver to bring in the TPs and then I will hook up the FTA receiver to the other plug of the C2. (haven't gotten that far yet).
I understand that the C2 suppose to work with the 4DTV as well with the FTA receivers. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Am I missing something?

Once I get TP 16 on my 4DTV, should I go ahead and hook up my FTA receiver, get it skewed to where I get both polarities and then go back to the 4DTV and set that setting that you suggested, Lak?

I have not used the C2, but the DMX741 and BSC621 were both the same way.

I would:
Set LNBF to "Rotated 90"
"Lightly" adjust to The Sheppard Channel
Power down and switch over to your FTA, then tweak C2.
