My new LNB has arrived and I'm ready to slowly get the dish set back up..

I need to be directed back to the Rookie help pages, taking me back to the basics of dish pointing and initial reception.

I seem to remember a page that offers coordinates from my zip code .. and I need a fresh tutorial on how to aim using my compass..

Thanks in Advance. I'll be checking via my phone at work tomorrow ( :

My Setup is a fixed dish, (fortec star), with no motor and a Captive Works Receiver. Tnx

Which CaptiveWorks receiver model is it? That's probably dvb only, which means you will be very limited on what you can receive. The new standard is dvb-s2, which would require a newer receiver.

You could start with satellite 97W though to get your feet wet, as almost everything on this sat is dvb, and there's several hundred channels. A 36" dish and standard ku lnb will do just fine.

Thanks for the reply..

My Captive Works Receiver is the CW-600s Digital Satellite Receiver. I started to set this receiver up a few years ago, but life got in the way..

I'm mainly interested in the Radio feeds that are on 19. Will I need to replace this receiver?

tnx
