Stargate SG-1 Discussion

A few plot details usually helps me remember, if it's an episode title that doesn't immediately jump out at me like "1969" or "2010". :)

Wish I could find the time to watch them from the start again...

Oh, the only reason I know episode names is because I rip each episode to the ipod, and use the names. I definitely don't remember the names for long. :)

Some of the names just stick in my head. Such as "The Nox", "The Fifth Race", "Seth" (duh), "A Hundred Days", "Watergate", "Scorched Earth", "The Fifth Man", "2001" and many, many others. I just know the episode from the name.

Then there's titles like "Absolute Power", "Rite of Passage", "Summit", "Past and Present", "Paradise Lost", "Fragile Balance" and many, many others that don't trigger any memory of their plot at all...

I'll hold off on TAOT until I finish the series, and by then, it will hopefully be available on BD.

I just ordered the season 8 dvds. I am already missing the old team, and they haven't broken up yet. :D

Just watched Heroes, p1 and 2; where Janet Frazier dies. It was a good episode, and probably not as shocking as it would have been if I didn't know this was it for her. Although I think the attempt to shock the audience, thinking it was O'Neill was probably not very effective or believable. Again, I KNEW the outcome, so I knew it could not be him.

All in all, it was still a touching episode; maybe not quite "Henry Blake's plane was shot down over the sea of Japan..." touching, but definitely powerful.

I sure wish they had not gotten rid of her.

Oh... and Woolsey's first appearance... what a prick. I wanted to just say "computer, end program." And be done with him.

And finally, I realized I have now watched about 140 episodes of SG1. Very few shows are that compelling. And get better and better each season.

I enjoyed the multi-reality SG1 episode where they brought Janet back in an SG1 team from an alternate reality, even though her role was small. I missed her from Heroes (1&2) through the end of the series.

I agree, it wasn't as shocking as Henry Blake's exist, but still, when I first saw the episode, I didn't know it was her right off.

I miss SG1...wish they'd do another direct-to-DVD movie...

I suspect seeing it the first time was a bit surprising. Good to know she comes back at least once. I was hoping she would have been in Continuum. No reason she couldn't have. Thinking of it... I need to watch that movie again. :)

BTW, I just found this cool Stargate timeline: Arduinna's Stargate SG-1 Handbook: Timeline

Its incredibly detailed. Trying to just stop reading where I am at the end of season 7. :D
