Sprint lights up first 4G network in New York City, among other locales

Well, you know, anytime someone else comes along with your type of product after you do, it's GOT to be better or they won't draw the comsumer.
I've had relatively few problems with Sprint (thank goodness I've rarely called the call center - but I hear they have improved), but they still have a huge black-eye after the Nextel merger. However, having a 4G presence in 61-cities, and now NYC, is something to boast about. I personally think Verizon has the best coverage and customer service, but IMO they are way overpriced. As far as AT&T goes...well, they are stuck somewhere in the middle from my perspective. Although Verizon has announced they will deploy LTE in 38 cities by the end of 2010, and AT&T has announced deploying their 4G is 2011, I think Sprint has done a great job of staying ahead of everyone on this issue. Of course, whether this will this translate into a competitive advantage and profits is quite another story. We shall see...

Is 4G available in Dallas and Houston ?
Just wondering as I'll be traveling thru there a bit later on and would like to try it.
Dallas/Ft. Worth has very good coverage, although 4G is spotty at my home 20-miles NE of Dallas. Houston has 4G, but I've never been there...although a co-worker has family there and says his Clearwire works well.

You are the man! For some reason a lot of my 4G tests are directed to Kansas, but you change the server location in the speedtest app settings.
