Verizon is starting to get as bad as AT&T when it comes to pricing..

Nothing wrong with competition. When you offer an inferior coverage, your rates should reflect that. It's nice that we have a Sprint for those that can live with the coverage if it is adequate for their needs. But for those that need wide spread coverage and reliability, Verizon is the best of breed and AT&T right behind them. The new shared data plan is a great savings to me right from the first month. I can't complain!

Now that the first two months are in compared to the 3 months average from before the plan, I'm realizing a savings of $80 a month with the taxes. Can't complain about that. My average use since adding the ipad3 with LTE is about 5GB per month shared. I really don't need unlimited. Everyone's mileage will vary, of course.

Sprint is doing well with their offerings. Dan Hesse is a great manager of the #3 company. Don't know why he feels the need to slam the competition. What he needs to focus on is offering equal coverage, then we'll see if he can maintain low rates. If so, he could be #1. :)

Of course he'd take the time to slam the competition on this, it highlights his company's competitive advantage. He'd be an idiot if he didn't stress this point.
 
No different really than Verizon stressing their network and coverage. They will all play up their strengths in comparison to the others.
 
Best CellPhone company in this area that keeps your calls without dropouts is US Cellular :)
 
I love our Sprint SERO Premium account...unlimited data/texting/GPS for $50 per month and the coverage is quite good in Dallas and DC where I spend most of my time. Sure, I don't think I've ever used more than 2-3GB per month, WiMax 4G coverage was spotty, and I'm still waiting on LTE to be deployed in DC, but I can't complain since it's a great value for the money and, like I mentioned, I have few issues with the service. As others have mentioned, there are certainly price and service issues to considered with any provider. If we weren't on the SERO and were using the phones for business purposes, then perhaps Verizon and AT&T would be better choices (my employer provides me with a Verizon Blackberry).

I wonder where you got your information from, AT&T? :)

This is a study I saw that gives AT&T an edge performance on initial download speed, however if you read the entire report, it shows that the reliability of using LTE for all data in different markets shows Verizon continues to be the better carrier.

FWIW- My ipad3 reports exactly what the study stated, 15 down and 8 up. using OOKLA Interesting coincidence.
