The UFC just announced an excellent fight card that will be free and in HD on Spike on July 19. Any word if Dish wants to acquire this. I am seriously considering switching to DTV just for this one channel. Dish collects $55 from me for the UFC PPV fights in HD, but isn't supplying me with the free fights on Spike in HD.

While anything is possible, I wouldn't hold my breath. This is another one of those FOX owned channels that is up in the air becuase of the spygate lawsuit between them and DISH. However, DISH has uplinked all those "TEMP" channels in HD. It would be interesting to know what those are. Spike could be one of them and DISH is just waiting on the ink to dry on the contract. I guess we'll just have to hurry up and wait and see.

If you really really really want this channel................Then don't count on Dish having it on 07-19.

Maybe 08-30 , but not on the date you really want it

I love my UFC programming as well. I really wish E* would get this channel out the door.

And on an unrelated note, I really hope E* can come to terms with Fox for FX before the season premiere of "The Shield", although odds aren't good for that.
