I wouldnt think so-unless they're big enough to catch and hold some water drops and its in front of the feedhorn.

I agree with Turbosat, most LNB's have plastic covers anyway which does not cause problems.

Also I have accidentally kept a plastic trashcan in front of my dish and when I checked the signal on my receiver it was still maxed out.

Slightly OT...but one of my jobs as a lad was to check once a week on our c-band dish to see if wasps had built in the feedhorn...we had the Chapparals before they had the little plastic cover over the feed opening...and one time we slowly lost signal....went nuts trying to figure it out...our dealer instantly told us to check the horn for wasps...sure enough...:D So from then on that was my job.

Good times....:up

Wasps... Not an enviable job... It's that time of the year again. They've built nests in every corner of my shed, but nothing in or on the dishes so far. I think I'm up there fooling with them too much. My fear is that they'll build nests in the NPRM tubes and come popping out like bullets one day when I go up there :(
