Speed up guide download

Is there any software upgrade or manner to speed up the lengthy download time it takes to get a fresh guide on a BEV 6000 ? My new 9200 is super quick !

the 6000 has older software...no way to speed it up or update software to newer verisons like the 9200

No there is not any software upgrade that will speed up the lengthy download time of the receiver. The reason why the new receiver is quicker than the older one is due to the fact that the new one has a faster processor chip or has more memory in it. It is a hardware issue not a software issue for why it is so much slower than the newer one. New hardware is always going to have improvements (in most cases) than the older hardware.
